Leura - BS

A variety that has performed very well in trials around the state, it is a late maturing variety that is suited to the higher rainfall parts of Victoria. Leura is a dramatic improvement on Karridale and one of its main features is its superior late growth, enabling it to be very valuable for hay making. Because of its late maturity, care should be taken to make sure Leura sets seed, so in areas that are inclined to dry off early in spring, Goulburn or Coolamon would be a better choice. Limited supplies for 2007.

Sowing Rate: 10 – 20 kg/ha alone, 6 – 10 kg/ha mix. If putting more than one sub clover in a pasture mix you should use a minimum of 6 kg/ha
